My Olympic adventure..part3

Thursday evening after work of the first week of the games I was fortunate to have a ticket for the Olympic Park... much sort after and as rare as a Willy Wonka Golden ticket! I held onto it tightly and along with the masses headed East to Stratford. On entry with the sun shining, which again was seamless, friendly and stress free, the Olympic bubble blew bigger! It really did feel like I was walking up main street towards the magic castle, with the castle being transformed into a majestic stadium.
The park is stunning, from the wild flower planting to the water canals running through, it really will be an amazing space for future generations.
Sitting on the bank of the canal watching the big screen I watched GB cycling team take the Gold in the sprint. The noise was phenomenal and thought that the roof of the velodrome would lift off! along with the jumping up and down of the 1000's of people in the park you could feel the rumbling underfoot. Amazing...
Everywhere is clearly signposted and is bright and funky... even the container stack of media & tv studios had the urban feel. Queueing to enter the 2012 megastore had the feel and vibe of queueing for a ride in Disney, magical and full of anticipation.... although on entry it looked like a swarm of locusts had descended!
From venue to venue as you walk through the park the landscaping and scenery is stunning...
I had an amazing evening in the Park and look forward to going back for the Paralympics and getting to see inside the magical athletic stadium....
With the Olympic rings perched high on a hill top, easily giving the Hollywood sign a run for most popular, Queue snaking down the hill  to get your picture taken under the rings, visible across the park its the unsung icon of the park!...
