Proms in the Park...

Saturday and it was continuation of my summer spectacular and time for a different park trip. This time Hyde Park for Proms in the Park in conjunction with the Royal Albert Hall and last night of the proms.
With such a huge wave of British pride this summer it was no surprise to find out that this was the largest crowd ever for Proms in the Park with over 40,000 squeezing into the park for an evening of Picnic's Pimms and Proms.
Headlining this year was Alfie Boe, Il Divo and Kylie!.... there was certainly a very mixed audience. The atmosphere was jubilant and lots of fun. The 6 of us managed to find a small space and set up picnic chairs and hampers. Prior to the main event Tony Blackburn entertained us along with the Gypsey Queens, Bjorn Again and the cast of Let it Be (new Beatles musical opening Friday). It was great just to sit, chat and listen to fun music whilst watching the sun set in London.
As you can the new camera was tested on the zoom and the skyline!

The evening was fantastic, Alfie was full of fun, Il Divo were cool and charismatic and Kyle was the Queen of the Proms... she absolutely stole the show. She had the audience eating out of the palm of her hand!
here are a few songs courtesy of BBC and You Tube!:~
and my floorfiller favourite.... Spinning around:
loved this version... especially when Kylie wrapped herself around the conductor!... she's a little minx!
The evening was rounded off by going over to the Albert Hall for a rousing finale of Rule Britannia, Land of Hope & Glory and the National anthem followed of by some patriotic fireworks ....
Great afternoon and evening had by all.... Thanks all for a fab day... Kylie rocked the Proms! everyone said that it was the best Proms they had been to.... Great weather, Food & Friends... couldn't ask for more.
