Lucy has never lived long enough in one location to have friends and find herself falling for the town, its residents and a certain farm owner. This is a delightful read and a lovely continuation of Rebecca's Gingerbread cafe , once in a lifetime series.
Big Stone Gap - Adriana Trigiani - a lovely revisit to Adriana Trigiani's 1st book in the Big Stone Gap series. I am really interested in seeing how this translates into a movie which is due for release soon. Ave Marie Mulligan is the town spinster and as she rapidly approaches 40 her life in Big Stone Gap is challenged when a secret from her past is revealed. I read the BSG trilogy many years ago and it really is a lovely story; The characters are fun, especially Iva Lou (played by Whoopi Goldberg in the movie) and has the warm feeling and female camaraderie that Steel Magnolias did when released.
