JYC 2014

Well its a number of years since I blogged my 1st Journal Your Christmas and every year I finish at some point in the year and with varying degrees of completion, this year whilst the last day of August I can happily type that 2014's December Daily is complete and I love it!. Thank you Shimelle for another great year.
2014's December Daily is filled with so many great memories, of which I am going to share with you all here.

Album - this year saw me sticking with a tried and trusted format of 8 x 8, in grey to support my black/white & silver theme that Christmas 2014 would entail.
Chalkboard, Doilies, Washi and Bakers twine favourites for this years Christmas journal.
Day 1 Manifesto. This year my December will be a time for fun and laughter, a time for reflection. A time willed with friends and family against the backdrops of London and New York.... filled with magic, sparkle and old school glamour.
Day 1 also saw me head out to New York for a few days... before heading off it was there was time to remember those that are no longer with me at Christmas time.

Day 2 - Christmas Countdown memories -Nan ~ 10 years since I stood in JFK airport and heard the news that you had passed away... much loved and so very much missed x
Day 3 - Planning - a host of activities planned both stateside and at home to celebrated the holiday season ... loved the horse drawn carriage from Tiffany's that arrived outside Selfridges one day in December....
Day 4 - Great Gifts - Mr Selfridge home on 400 Oxford Street is the perfect place for me to find gifts for loved ones and friends. List compiling starts in early May and I try to pick up as much as I can in the summer sale along with Christmas comes early weekend, before heading to New York for some stocking fillers
Day 5 - Cards & communication - this year found the perfect cards in TKmaxx which were chalkboard style and ticked every box for Christmas along with the fabulous Heidi Swapp countdown folders.
Day 6 - Home from New York - Cats collected and time for some cosy cuddles on the sofa... fully embracing the Christmas spirit in Ugg slippers and gingerbread onesie. 
Day 7 - a feast for the senses - sharing some of my favourite holiday treats; red cups from Starbucks, egg nog latte, christmas pudding porridge, bags of candy from NY.
Eggnog cupcake and cheesecake from New York, Magnolia bakery peppermint confections ...so many gorgeous edible treats.
Day 8 ~ sharing my favourite Trees from New  York; both with ice rinks ... this year I opted to skate at Bryant Park and share a much loathed selfie! The other tree is the gorgeous twinkling big spruce at th  Rockefeller Centre.
 Day 9 ~ a night out with the team for a feast & treats - this season Bubble Dogs - champagne & hot dogs!
Day 10 and its time to collate my Christmas Wish List...
Day 11 - Gift Wrap; - one of my favourite stores in NY is The Container Store - wall to wall gift wrap and packing materials.Home in London I got to attend my friend Jane Means book launch of her fabulous Gift Wrap book. 
Day 12 - Night with my merry Mentors for Burger &  Alfie Boe... 
Day 13 - Today's theme is White Christmas - so sharing some of the Black & White chalkboards that I snapped in and around New York.
favourites include; Magnolia Bakery, Starbucks, and Shack Shake



Day 14 - Snapshots of the Sights from Selfridges and on my commute into the City.
Day 15 - Time to deck the Halls ~ with Dinner at Le Chalet on the roof of Selfridges and the an evening with the Crooner of Christmas Mr Michael Buble! - kicking off 10 days to Christmas.
Day 16 - If a night with Buble felt like the perfect Christmas evening, then a night at Claridges for Christmas Dinner is just the cherry on the icing of the most perfect Christmas cake!
an evening in decadent surroundings filled with fab food and great friends.
Day 17 - A different list today - Blog post list from New York.
Day 18 - an evening at friends for early Christmas dinner and a slice of Nigella's Christmas favourites on the TV... food & friendship.
Day 19 -  Cookies baked for Santa - peppermint brownies & candy cane cookies. Mmmmm........

Day 20 ~ Gifts all wrapped in chalkboard wrap.
Day 21 - time for a little bit of now... taking time out from busy day for some family fun at the cinema, spreading some cheer with Paddington Bear along with some Claridges marmalade.
Day 22 - Warming the Heart by the Chimney complete with a cocoa station.

Day 23 - By the Chimney - Its the most wonderful time of the year ... New York advent calendar and ice skates perfect for the holiday season.
Day 24 - Christmas Eve... a night of deliveries and Santa stops before heading home for a "Holidays are Coming"  night... new PJ's for Santa and milk & mine-pie's.
Christmas Day - a day filled with food, festivities, remembering loved ones and fun.
Becks, Baileys and S'bucks and Gingerbread for a Christmas night on the sofa.
Boxing Day - Day 26 - Selfridges Sale ... traditional day of work.. Q's around the block  followed by an evening at home with Christmas Curry.

Day 27 - Thank-you .. time for some thank-you's for friends, family and loved-ones.... love my Thank-you card from Starbucks.
Day 28 - a day of reading and chilling and sharing my 14 festive reads from the festive season.


Day 29 - Catch-up day with some present deliveries, blogging and some New York photo fun. Time to share some favourites from New York, including another selfie in Times square.
Day 30 - sharing 14 favourites from 2014.:

  • David Gandy in his Undies!
  • A night with Buble 
  • A decadent lazy Sunday at the Savoy
  • A night at the Albert Hall with the Spandau Ballet boys.

  • Jonny Wilkinson last game and at Invictus Games,
  • Christmas at Claridges.
  • Paddington fun in the city.

Day 31 - New Years Eve - an night in for some New York, New Years Eve movie night complete with Brooklyn beer and Hot Dogs.
Also time to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015.

Time to close December Daily with a few closing pages had a fabulous December and Festive season.

Day 38 ~ 2015 Back to work with a delicious David Gandy desk diary and snugly warm with Ugg & Mulberry to keep out the cold.
Time to close the book and enjoy what 2015 has to bring.

JYC 2014

2014's December Daily is filled with so many great memories, of which I am going to share with you all here.
