lots of thanks

a very quick post for me as i am running out the door to do gramps's shopping and then on to spend some time with friends. "News"...I won a prize!!!!...i entered the Friday Sketchers challenge and have won a prize...i'm so shocked...i'm really flattered and surprised to have been chosen...so thank you to Claudia and her team for choosing me.....

i've got some thankyou bits to take to my friends as they do lots of nice little things for me...of course I can't give alcohol & flowers without a little accompaniment from Bella's fella ...

fabulous 30!

Today is my friend Lucy's birthday, she has now reached her 30's!!.....here is the card i've made her....one of her fave films is Breakfast at Tiffany's so this is my version!...she loves Wizard of Oz so i'm taking her to see it at the Festival Hall in London on friday, it's only been on for 6 weeks and finished sunday so i hope she enjoys it....hugs Tx

the man was amazing!

well what can i say, the man was amazing.....i've seen George Michael whenever he has toured and he still manages to blow me away with his showmanship. Last night he had the ability to transform everyone back to feeling 14 again and then back to today in an amazing 3hr slot. He came on the stage at 8.20 and left the stage at 11.10pm, taking only a 20 minute break. He didn't need a hoard of dancers or a fashion show of costume changes to keep the audience entertained, sometimes only just a stool & bottle of water keeping him company on a very big stage. He was incredibly humble and sometimes in awe of the reception of the crowd. Our seats were great adjacent to the stage, (although we didn't sit in them often!)....a truly fab time had by all! (well 2 very 80's girls from essex!!).....I have found a couple of clips on You Tube..these aren't mine but thought i would share with you all!....I'm Your Man , Everything She Wants, and who could forget Careless Whisper, I don't care if he dances like your dad at a wedding...we all did!!!...

Mornin....for those that know me well, will know that i'm a bit of an 80's girl!...this weekend has been a bit of an 80's filled weekend....it's my friend Lucy's 30th Birthday so she had an 80's school disco party...uniform /80's icon essential.....there were lots of Madonna's, legwarmers, and of course the following man....in his 'Wake me up before you Go Go' heyday!....but what is going to finish my weekend off is seeing the great man himself tonight. It is his final gig and i am very excited to be going, with my bestest friend, who lived every moment of the 80's with me, of which I still have the shared diary to prove! So we are off to Earls Court to see George Michael....i found this this morning which has fuelled the excitement!....Earls Court.....on top of this we have had the fab Olympic handover and we are now the Olympic nation!...wow I travel past the site everyday to go to work, as it's about 20 minutes from me....i've volunteered already but I am incredibly proud to be in London.

cupcake challenge #30

i'm so loving this stamp!....she's definitely one of my favs in the magnolia collection...i got her this week....i've been on a stash diet but couldn't resist her & her little cupcake. This card is for Taylors Cupcake Challenge...i love this challenge site, as it features one of my fav things ...cupcakes!....i'm cupcaked out today, i've had another cupcake birthday cake to make for my friends 30th birthday.....watch this space....
