Happy Birthday Bruv!

Today is my twin Brother's birthday!!!...so yes as you can guess it's mine too!!!.....So happy birthday bruv!...thinking of you today with lots of love and loads of fab memories, couldn't wish for a better brother......here is my card to you with love (as hopefully you've opened the real thing by now!)...he's a bit of a fishing fan!...don't get it myself!.....we're both at work today but caught up last night which was fun....

recipe!...

i never imagined how much time it would take to sort out the recipe cards into their proper groups! ha ha...was doing so well with them all layed out on the floor last night and then got two ladies muddled up!! ha ha....waiting on two and then they can all go out!...i've covered my american crafts album for all my recipes...here it is....i'm liking lots!...also have made two cards for by twin's birthday...one from gramps & one from me!..will post thursday...i've been very good i've had cards arriving and i've not opened ..for those that know me well know thats very good for me!...

Cupcake Challenge

Recently i fell upon a fab blog called Taylored Expressions.....she sets a weekly cupcake challenge...this is my first time entering a challenge on this blog....the designers on the blog produce some very yummy & scrummy goodies........used my fav stamp this week the cupcake tree & sentiment, i've kept it simple in line with the sketch....so thanks Taylor...check out her little chef, he's so cute.... scrummy cupcakes

well the cupcake recipes are nearly all in now...so lots of sorting at the weekend to put all the groups together....here are my cards that i've done...i've got 3 groups of 10 to sort ...they are yummy....

Jaffa Cake, Malteser & Tiramisu....the swap was to make 10 cards double sided....i'm really pleased with them.

I found an American crafts 6x6 album hidden in my stash last night so i'm going to alter the front and store all my cards in it.....i've really enjoyed hosting this swap....thanks ladies Tx

Cupcake swap

wow where has the week gone....this week sees the completion of my cupcake recipe swap. I have now started to receive some of the ladies recipe cards and they are fab!...here is the label that i made each of the ladies to go with their swap.it's very simple but i've had 30 to make so didn't want to make it too complicated!..i've stamped some cupcake bits for them all as a thankyou..I will post my recipe images at the weekend. gramps is ok...although we've had some dramas with him keep forgetting things...think the weather's been too much for him this week. Work has been busy this week and the tube's been horrendous!...this weeks tube read has been the great Late Night Shopping, the follow -up to The Personal Shopper....great fun....other than the fab batman flick this is now on my Fun,Flicks & Friends list...The Duchess.....tonight i'm watching Burn up with the scrummy Rupert Penry Jones...mmmmmm

mamma mia!

Just a quick post.....have just got home from seeing Mamma Mia and its fab!!...I have laughed so much I nearly peed my pants!!....Meryl Streep is fab, Pierece Brosnan is scrummy and Julie Walters steals the show!....was quite sceptical about this film, as I wasn't sure that it was my 'thing'. I am a 'little' controlled but it was just great. I've sung & laughed hysterically for 2 hours!...so not me!....my gay friend who i went with wanted to get his platforms and spandex out!...will definitely see it again a great feel goo fun film. Tx

yummy scrummy sunday!

Baked 2 lots of cupcakes this weekend..these are for my cupcake recipe swap, but will also fit into my a-z....will post recipes when I have completed the layouts!...cupcakes are Jaffa Cake Cupcakes (including jelly!) & Malteser Cupcakes (special ingredient Horlicks!)mmmmm yummy....have also completed layout for G&T cupcakes.
Life in Tcake land has been fairly quiet this week, Gramps has been so so..thankyou for all your kind wishes. Sunday hugs Tx

more cupcakes !

morning....completed another layout for my a-z....scrapped my Hummingbird cupcakes.... recipe here ...also managed to incorporate the weekly challenge on UKS which is fab ( i so love this multi tasking !!)...All the papers are from the June kit from Sarahscards.The cupcake swap is going well, so much so that we have started a cupcakes addicts social group on uks!!....Today i'm making Jaffa cake cupcakes... not tried before but the jelly is setting as we speak so watch this space!....off now as i've chores to do for gramps. Tx

Italian Trifle Cupcakes

Definitely cupcake sunday today!......completed my I for my A-z cupcake recipes.... Italian Trifle (tiramisu)...

Cupcakes: 4oz unsalted butter, 4oz caster sugar, 3oz SR flour, 2 eggs, 1oz Cocoa powder , (1tpsp sugar, 4floz water, 2tbsp Tia Maria, 2tsp coffee (instant).)

Icing: 4oz Icing Sugar, 4oz Mascapone, 1tsp tia maria, cocoa powder & grated chocolate to decorate.

Preheat oven to 175'/ gas 4. Combine butter, sugar, flour, eggs & cocoa powder in a bowl & mix/ whisk. Spoon into cupcake cases & bake for 15-20mins. Heat water & sugar. Add Tia maria & coffee granules & mix. leave to cool. Cool cupcakes on rack, brush cupcakes with glaze, insert slits into top of cupcake and pour a tsp of glaze over each cupcake. Mix mascapone & icing sugar. add Tia maria. Ice cupcakes, Sprinkle with coca powder & grated chocolate. Enjoy!.

Cupcake catch-up!....cosmopolitans...

this week I am determined to try and catchup with some of my cupcake layouts.....i've got behind as my printer is broken.....but i've managed to get some done!....here is my Cosmopolitan Cupcakes...which i made for the Girls night out for the SATC film...it's very different to my usual 'controlled' style...but i'm liking it!...the papers are from the a Kit from sarah's cards....Rhonna Farrer French twist...this kit has been languishing in my stash pile!...in addition I stamped shoes on the paper alongside the words. This week I've started a Cupcake recipe swap on UKS...it's my first time at hosting a swap and i've been amazed by the response...I started with a group of 10 i'm now on my 2nd group...there are some very scrummy recipes! so watch this space. Tx

Under Construction!

hello!.....this is bit of a 'bits & pieces' post!....today i found that a couple of my cards had been posted on the hanglar blogg which was exciting!....also the 'ribbon 'fairy had delivered today!...Look...mmmm how lovely!

.....I love ribbon....can you tell!....also i've been playing with a little book that i bought in the sale...which is still under construction! its a fold out NY skyline!.....on that note just a little bit of exciting news...Sex & the city is available on DVD on the 22nd September...Tx
