Happy Birthday Gramps xxxx

Today is my grandads birthday, he is 89......so Happy Birthday Gramps xx This is the message that i've put in his card:
"As children, we can't comprehend or fully realize the meaning of a grandfather's love. How wise he is, how much patience he has, or how much guidance he gives us by his example and by his helpful caring ways. Years go by before we know and understand the depth of his concern and the love in his protectiveness. But as we mature we do finally understand and we can look back and see through older eyes and wiser hearts his unconditional love, devotion, and family loyalty. It's these and many other things that make us realize how lucky we have been and how lucky we are to have this amazing man - our grandad - as the centered root of strength and love in our life."
Just got back from his...he is dozing in the chair drink Bailey's & Hot Chocolate.....not sure that will go very well with his Morphine tabs...but hey ho.....it's his birthday!....Thankyou gramps...love you lots.Tx

Well i've been cupcake, cookie & caused......today is 'wear pink day to show you care' for Breast cancer. Think Pink and have the time of your life!

Bad Blogger!!!....nearly a week since i posted!...had a beautiful day at St Paul's with Gramps...the weather was lovely and we arrived just in time for the communion service which he loved. Will try and get some layouts done at the weekend of our times in London. Had my friends sister's 40th Birthday on Saturday which was lovely, we are all off to New York at the end of the month, so in honour of that here is the cake that i made for her!...........who wouldn't want a Tiffany or Bloomingdale's bag for their 40th!!!.....................
This Friday Lucy is hosting a Pink Pamper Night in aid of Breast Cancer......I'm making 'Causeabella' thank you cards, Pink ribbon cookies & cupcakes!!! for the Girlie Goodie bags!.............it's for a fantastic cause and I think there will be about 30 girls there wearing and drinking pink!..........I have watched a number of special people win and loose their battle with Cancer. Throughout it all, they battled with amazing strength and dignity. SO Special thoughts to Betty & Tracey and heartfelt love for my Nannie whom I miss every day. xxxx
Don't want to end on an unhappy note so found this quote in 'the pink cookbook'..............from the queen of glamour Audrey Hepburn " The most important thing to enjoy your life - to be happy that's all that matters."
Lots Of Love Tx

Ps Can you believe that its 20 years since we sung our hearts out and melted at this......................
