kicking off a summer of rugby.....

last week saw the countdown to the Rugby World Cup 2015... Prince Harry and Jonny Wilkinson kicked off the countdown at Twickenham with lots of school children and the Webb Ellis Trophy on glorious display.
The trophy will now tour the UK over the 100 days before the start of the tournament. Here are the planned dates... I am hoping to see it when it hits London in September. Someone else that I am hoping to see in the summer is the lovely Jonny Wilkinson as part of his O2 touch tour. I am delighted that the lovely JW was honoured with a CBE in the Queens birthday honours list.... much deserved and worthy award.
These rugby events followed the weekend that I saw Saracens lift the Aviva premiership cup at Twickenham, beating Bath in a hotly contested league and thrilling final.
Whilst at Twickenham for the final the Land Rover that will escort the Webb Ellis cup around the country was on display for
all to see.
What a fabulous way to kick off a summer and autumn of fabulous rugby.
